Cavalcade of Bands is excited to announce our continued collaboration with Music for All with the second annual Affiliate Marching Band Event, presented by Yamaha, in Eastern Pennsylvania. The event will take place on Saturday, October 3, 2026.
This prestigious preliminary-finals competition is open to all marching bands, regardless of circuit affiliation or level of performance. Participating groups will be evaluated by a distinguished panel of local and nationally recognized adjudicators, utilizing the Bands of America scoring system. Performance order will be randomized, and division awards will be presented at the conclusion of the preliminary round for the top ensembles in each classification: Independence, American, Liberty, and Yankee.
The top eight ensembles, regardless of size or class, will be invited to return for the finals competition that evening, competing for top honors in this inaugural event.
Event Details & Registration
Cavalcade of Bands anticipates 16-20 participating groups, and demand for this event is expected to be high. Interested bands must pre-register via the form linked below. If more than 20 groups apply, a random selection process will take place in late March, with selected bands notified by early April.
Registration Fees:

$200 – Cavalcade of Bands members

$300 – Non-Cavalcade members
Invoices for this event will be sent to groups upon registration notification in April.
Special Information for Cavalcade Members

This event qualifies as one of the two required performances needed for championship eligibility.

Due to differences in scoring criteria, Cavalcade of Bands participants will receive a factored score after the show to ensure equitable championship qualification compared to other shows happening in the circuit that weekend.
